Gainer M. Waldbillig - President

Gainer was born, raised and educated in Utah. He is an avid outdoorsman and actively participates in skiing, mountain biking, rafting, hiking, fishing and hunting. As a graduate of the University of Utah and the University of Utah College of Law, he has over 30 years of legal experience. Gainer concentrates in commercial and personal injury litigation, including aviation, transportation, recreational and ski injury, premise liability, product liability, medical device and construction defect litigation. He represents airlines, ski resorts, construction contractors, bike manufacturers, binding and snowboard manufacturers, equipment and industrial product manufacturers,  insurance companies and individuals in large and complex litigation.

Gainer is actively involved in ski area and recreational provider risk management, operations and accident investigation issues including speaking at National Ski Area Association meetings, ski areas and Utah Guide and Outfitter events.

Meghan has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, particularly working with insurance companies in defending claims. Meghan’s practice concentrates in personal injury defense, including recreation accident cases, aviation cases, premises liability, construction defect, and products liability. She understands what the insurers’ needs are and how to navigate through the claim with them. Meghan also provides additional consulting to ski areas and recreation providers regarding risk management, including speaking at ski areas regarding winter and summer operations.

Meghan graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with highest honors. She attended the University of Utah Law School, where she graduated with high honors and was a member of the Utah Law Review Journal.

Meghan is licensed to practice before the state and federal courts in Utah. She is a member of the Utah Bar Association, the Association of Ski Defense Attorneys, the Utah Defense Lawyers Association, and ASTM International Standards Worldwide. She originally moved to Utah in 2001 to work as a wilderness therapy counselor for at-risk youth. In her free time she spends time outdoors with her family, competes in local and regional mountain bike races, Nordic skiing races, and participates in bicycle advocacy.
